Howa Escort slug guns???? I am trying to replace my Mossburg 500 and go to a semiauto slug gun. What do you guys know about the Howa escort guns. are they a quality gun ,accurate, where are the mfg'd. Any info on these would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to this sight so bare with me please. I was considering going with a browning silver or sx3 but heard about these and they are half the money of those other guns but are they half as good as well? |
dont know much about them, but I can tell ya a friend of mine has a howa rifle and what a tack driver it is and made very well. for the money Id rather have a howa over a remington 700 |
For the money I wouldn't trade my Rem Mountain rifle for a hand full of Howa's. |
Slug Guns Can't say I am familiar with the Slug Gun you are asking about, and I'm sorry about that. HOWEVER, I CAN suggest that you avoid buying the Savage Stevens, Model 67 Slug Gun. I DID own one of those. I shot Brenneke Slugs thru it. Nothing wrong with the Slugs themselves, but the gun was cheaply made and made me nervous every time I fired it. For some reason, back in my "stupid" days, I decided to put a Scope (10x) on that gun. Not a great idea, but...........I DID manage to hold a 4" centered spread at 100 yards. They asked me at the Firing Range why I set the target at 100 yards, and I had no particular reason. Turns out they recommend 50 yards for a slug gun. Oh well........like I said.......it was during my "stupid" years. (lol) -Soupy1957 |
