you mean how long to wait after you set it up? Well I would wait a couple days if you were in there making lots of noise. However, if you get a good rain, I'd got right after that b/c rain will wash all your scents you left behind away. Remember also, deer are curious creatures. There are SOME deer out there that have never smelled humans therefore they are curious. Now, that said, MOST deer consider any foreign smell as DANGER.

I heard something interesting the other day- when you are in the woods setting up stands and stuff- make as much noise as you can- with tools, chain saw, cutting, etc.. NOT with your voice per-say. Deer know that farmers run equipment so to them they are used to hearing machines and work being done. If you try being really quiet it always A. never works and B. can spook them to leave the area if they happen to come upon you while working. --- just a thought
