The Scope I purchased and is now on my rifle, is able to be removed from the Mounting Plate by means of two screws (one on each Mounting Ring) that have knurled O.D.'s, and are easy to grab with my fingers.
I have heard however, that when you take a Scope off like that, (I cannot personally attest to this, but I have to admit it makes sense) it will likely move your zero and you will need to recheck your sighting alignment.
