Sat by the side of a field tonight to watch and see where the deer were walking and try to figure out if I chose the right spot for my stand. Didn't see anything so I started to walk out slowly right before sunset and that was a terrible mistake. A big 4 x 4 jumped out of the brush about 10 yards infront of me. I hope and pray I didn't mess up my spot. I'm so mad at myself for leaving before dark. Mad. Mad. Mad.

Give it a few days before you go back. Chances are he'll be there somewhere. I'm sure you didn't send him to the next county.

I hope. My friends are going to hunt it Sunday afternoon. He can wait till after that to come back.:yes:

I hate it when that happens. I lowered my gear down before to look up and have a nice buck standing there looking at me. You never know when they will come by.

I've had it before where I'll get up in my stand and get situated and just ready to raise up my bow, but then deer show up and I can't do a dog-gone thing about it.
