 No Permit required for me. I can carry concealed in all states except Illinois, Wisconsin & Tennessee.

Tennessee: The 8 hour class costs between $50 and $75 depending on where you go. The App fee is $125 at your local DMV. That is good for 5 years then it's $50 to renew.

Took mine back in '07. Costed about $125 for the class, plus $125 in state fees. Ouch. It hurt, but now I carry my S.A. micro compact 1911.everywhere not prohibited by law. And its good for 10 years. Half the price to renew. Texas is pushing for Open Carry now too. I love my state.

bruce be careful with that. they, other states, honor permits. vt doesn't have a permit. alaska is like vt but they issues permits for reciprocity. the link above says vters can't carry concealed in nh but nhers can carry concealed in vt cause anyone can. if that makes any sense. some states honor no others, like maine and maryland for example.

says the same thing. vt is not on nh honor list but vt honors everyones. new jersy doesn't honor any out of state.

Good info. How about the new rule change in the national parks, where you can carry if your state allows it. It's about time.
