spiker, I did some reading last night and read you need to broadcast on level ground when it is almost bare... the freeze - thaw action drops the seed into the cravaces for seed to soil contact.
I need to sell my tractor and roto tiller, so to save time and $$$ i am going the frost seed route, as i hear it does quite well... timing is everything though.
I will be seeding a total of 2 acres here and there on my 25 acres, alfalfa, Ladino, and Red clover will be the seeds of choice this spring.
Good luck, and happy planting!
