Nice pics .. Are Persimmon are about gone down here |
Does that clover mixed with the wheat do pretty well? I've planted wheat with turnips and alfalfa but we usually go pretty light on the wheat. |
It does very well. In the food plots I use the Crimson clover that comes up in the winter months and the the Lespedeza that will come up in the spring and grow through the summer. I also sow the wheat at heavier rates (up to 80lbs per acre) than what the typical ag. operation would do. The deer in my area keep it cut down to the ground. My largest plot is 2 acres and the smalllest is about 1/4 acre. |
hard work paid off great looking spots buck. |
Looks great Buckshot. Is this the land that you purchased in the last couple of years? |
Yes, the progress is slow but sure. Had a lot of the brush cleaned up last summer and I hope to get a pond in this next summer if the money holds out. |
