Winter plot up

Got a few pics...we have had way to much rain, but the sun is going to shine for the next week and that should get them going good
This is are family Grave yard.. My wife's Great Grandfather was buried here in 1897 ..i am proud to take care of it
The 2nd & 3rd are the grave yard plot

And this is the pond i made a few weeks ago before the rains came again
i did it with a box blade behind my tractor...
I sowed the road with rye grass, and planted oats on the far end of it.

Looking good on the new plots and pond. Lot of family tradition on the homestead and taking responsibility to honor the past ones is great, I highly admire that. I'm calling PA tonight from work to get an update on my plots, hope something grew, especially the bucks! Doesn't look like I'll get back there prior to bow season.

Great job with the plots delbert. You have food and water and that ought to be a great treat for the deer. You are taking care of the family land and that is very nice.

Called PA last night and the food plots are a total loss. Man a lot of work lost, must have been the rain and rotted seeds or drove the seeds too far down. Don't really know but what a bummer.

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky
