Default Newbie here

Hey ya'll
I have about 50 acres and i have 2 seperate flats about an acre each in size I want to plant a food plot on both flats i want it to have more than one food source in it. I can't get a plow to the spots i would like to know what i should plant.. I want something that not only draw the deer in to my area but also help in horn growth.

thanks

high protein. alfalfa, clover as a spring summer plot. strip plant a winter wheat or oats for the fall. lots of work you may want to put in a woods road to get equipment in. read the other postings here under food plots. its not an over night thing it'll take a year or more to get it looking good.

you might be able to pick up a NO TILL 2 ROW SEED SETTER prety cheap and they are prety small and I would think you can get it through the woods if you didnt or can't cut for a rough road. seed with corn. just a though that is what I did this year and intend on doing next year as well for I had good results.

alfalfa is about 30% protein which is needed for antler growth, and lactating does to help fawn development in the spring. corn is like 8% protein and is a fall food which is after antler stop growing. doing both is a great way to help the deer deeper into the fall. thats why strip plots.
