yes, "throw and grow" is one. I think most of the companies make a seed mix that is like a Throw and Grow. Go to all the web site and see what there is out there. There is a lot to the big picture of food plots and like everything else it takes a little research. state laws, nutrition plots, harvest plots, types of forage, spring seed, fall seed, winter seed. turnips, oats, clovers. Just a lot of stuff to think about before making a decision. then there is the soils ph and fertilizer to think about to make the most of your work. I will warn you right now there are some guys out there that think food plots are cheating. So the more you know about food plots the better able to discuss it you will be.

If you have deep woods you might look at what is there already that some fertilizer would help. I have fertilized oak trees with big success, other things like greenbrier, crabapples, persimmons, and honeysuckle will benefit too.

secret spot.also heres a tip i just picked up.find your best fruit or mast(acorn) tree and put fertilizer spikes in at the drip line(perimiter of the branches).the tree will really churn the fruit/acorns out.Im gonna try this myself

I went to a siminar held by evolve harvest. I talked to the rep awhile and we hit it off pretty good. He told me one of the best things he ever did was to fertilize the natural brouse. he sprayed liquid fertilizer on honey suckle and other brouse. He said the big boys hang back from the fields til after dark and a good way to pin point them in the woods is to fertilize a section of brouse. He said they will prefer the fertilized brouse over the non fertilized due to it being tastier. This was comming from a rep who's job is to sale seed! Something to think about anyway.

bingo and if you hunt public property its often illegal to plant plots but it doesnt say nothing bout fertilizing the trees or native browse .

Wink Backwoods Blend

I have been using the Wildgame Innovations Backraods Blend for my deep woods plots. All I bring is a rake to get to the dirt then sprinkle some Backwoods Blend - No Till Fall Food Plot
and create a secret food plot. The big deer like the cover of the woods so I usually hunt a tree stand in the deep woods a few times a season.
