We have numerous plots of oats that will mature soon: This is the best one: It is about 1/5 acre in size. i planted Chilocco oats here in 2009. The plot has never been re-planted. After a rain in about early September the plot is lightly disced under and fertilized.
The turkeys and quail hit the plots when the oats mature.
