back saver mod to my boat
 

ok i just turned the fishing fourm temporarly into a "boat modifacation" fourm lol
well i been kicking around the idea of recessing the foot controll of my trolling motor in my floor for a while now, it kills my back to basically ballance on one leg to be able to operate the trolling motor all day. it realy come down to my nerves of cutting my floor, well i finaly built up the nerve. turned out great, took it out two days ago for a run and love it. i'll pos up a few pics a befor an after and a few of the in between. maybe it will inspire someone else during their off season hunting for a weekend project.

making the pan, cutting the floor...

test fit pan, cut carpet, then had to fiberglass the wood that was exposed from were i made the cut, re glue the carpet, bolted the peddle to the pan then stainless steel screwed the pan to the deck, painted all the screws black as well.
