man ice fishing is dumb. so i've been several times and this is my first trout.
I love that line. Still laughin. I have always thought the same thing. But I would go in a heart beat if the chance presented itself. Good lookin catch.
took a metal health afternoon yesterday and spent it on the ice. i lost a rainbow that was over 5 pounds easy. about 7 inches from back to belly. it did the roundy roundy at the hole and that cut my line. then i had one i couldn't even turn that broke off at the braided line. it was the nicest day we've had weather wise in a long long time. topped out about 43 degrees and for a change no wind.
saw a 15 incher in the hole this afternoon so i didn't bother to try to catch it. raw cold and windy out there.
still don't know why i go but its not much different than deer hunting here in nh. a whole lot of puttin in the time with no guaranty.
be carfull out there ronn. people been goin through the ice right and left this week.
don't you know it. loosing ice at a rate of ten feet a day on new found. the snow should slow it down if it gets cold again. the ice is good where i fish and i'm fishing in about 2 feet of water.
