its kinda like fishing but you sit over a hole in the ice (48" square hole) in a windowless shelter waiting for a fish to swim by so you can drop the spear and kiil the stugeon.

Sounds like hunting fish with a pointy stick. Next, folks with be killing deer with a club... ..like I used to do with rabbits as a kid.
I bet it takes practice to spear a fish.

Hey, just remembered....my Dad once killed a catfish with a stick. Only one we got all day......
