After flintlock season ends we're heading to Florida to visit the kids and grandkids.I usually go fishing once a week at a pier in Clearwater and maybe a flats trip with a guide.Many species to fish for.
We drove down just ahead of the cold front.Air temps in the 70's,Water temp is 63.The better fishing starts when the water hits 65 degrees.I'm getting my tackle ready and painting my rusty pier cart.
just got back from Florida tonight. I went out fishing using a guide Clearwater area, Tampa. We caught trout, Snook, Flounder, redfin. Most were too small though. Water temps are cold, fishing improves in March an April.
Big Pier 60.I went,but the wind picked up and I went home.Cold fronts will shut down the fishing for the next week.You can see the pier on their website.The good fishing will come between cold fronts until the warmer weather arrives.
