hey guys im new to the forum have nothing for sale and wanted opinions on my homade blind
but wasnt sure where to post a link to my blog decided this was the safest place please take a look and tell me what you think
its interesting but what about portability?for the price and all the work i would just get a commercial made blind.however there is that satisfaction of doing it yourself.good luck with it
well i agree its not something that i would want to drag in and out everyday but place it for the season will be easy enough. only 65 to 70 lbs im guessing. and im sure if i were to look a little harder i could reduce cost i mean the camo burlap on the outside came from gander mountain.
but it did goes together pretty quickly 3 hrs maybe and i was expiermenting
thanks for the reply
i wasnt knocking it.if i had private proerty i would set up a bunch of them.I like making my own stuff too so im always curious to see other ideas.
thank you for the comments wasnt trying to accuse u of knocking it just trying to explain a little lol
im gonna eventually have a bunch of em but try different designs and different materials too
thats cool nothing like the satisfaction of doing it yourself
If you have private property that you can leave your blinds in, the hog wire or bull wire method was in an artical in Buckmasters magazine this months issue showing a 3 sided using two 4' sections and one 8' with a section cut away for your window.
You can put a panel across the top with a tarp cover then bowtines to keep rain out or fully enclose with a door access, but use natural bowtines each year or as needed for that fresh smell etc.
Love your rifle choice as well, good caliber.
