Default Carbon Express covert sls

Well just saw my Bow shop has an awesome deal on these Reg. Price $650
Sale Price $250 comes with scope & 3 bolts
wish I had extra cash. I am picking one up for a buddy this weekend & really thinking about spending the cash on one for myself. They are not legal during archery season here in NH. We can use them during firearm season & the week we go to NY they are legal. I would spend $250 to use for NY but not $650 to use one week

Bit the bullet. He said if I really want one he will hold one for me until I get the cash. May have to find a new bow shop LOL he makes it way to easy for me to spend money

GFD2, I will be buying a new crossbow after the holidays. I have a buyer for my Excalibur so now just have to decide what to get. I have one more hunt with the crossbow then will make the decision on what. I may stick with Excalibur as they have a new one that gets 405 fps and that's cooking fast and it's smaller than my model.

This carbon express was discontinued model but is very compact & love the safety features on it not sure if all have these features or not but when it is cocked to automatically goes into safe mode & has anti dry fire will not come out of safe mode if there is not a bolt in position, was told rail is higher above hand grip then a lot of them to help prevent sting whacking fingers (like this one)
not sure if these specs are good for a crossbow or not
but seem fine for the little use it will get & for the price I paid I think it will put down game as well as a $1000 one. like stated before this was $650 Original price so it isn't a cheap one
Covert SLS Specs:
Feet per second 355
Kinetic energy 119 ft-lb
Draw weight 185 lbs
Power stroke 13"
When not cocked, the bow is 17 inches wide and only 13.5 inches when cocked, locked, and ready to rock. It is 36 inches long

went to Bass Pro but they had sold out of the new Excalibur. I have mine sold in a couple of weeks and then will shop. Looking forward to shooting a 405 fps cross bow.

Looked at an Excalibur 380 today at Cabelas'. I really like the narrow limbs and the 3lb trigger. I wasn't overly impressed with the scope on the package. I like my scope a bit better. You would think for 1100.00 the scope would be pretty nice. The string dampening system looks like it would quiet the shot noise which is considerable on my Excalibur without the dampening system. Overall I like it. I will wait for the newest model that shoots 405 fps to get re-stocked and make a decision.
