Welcome James Franklin!

I am so happy to welcome James Franklin to the new Penn State.
I feel bad for the folks at Vanderbilt but just as the previous PSU coach he wanted to go where he thought would advance his career.
From what I have seen and heard he's already got the troops convinced they together can do the job. His sterling resume preceeds him, however,
time will tell the tale!
Good luck James

I wonder how the weather is in Ireland in August?

good for PS. Nowadays coaches move with the wind. Hard to hold on to a good one.

I think we've seen the end of the coaching legends who spend their entire career at one school. Money and the pressure to win is just too much these days. Plus the administrators feel no loyalty to you, so most are seeing the need to put Numero Uno first too.

Hey daddus, PM sent.

Sounds like PennState had a pretty good recruiting class this signing day. Lots of 4-star prospects, which is great news for a new coach.

And so far he's 2-0 this season, although they haven't been dominant wins. Rutgers this weekend will be a better challenge.
