That national champ was pathetic. I stopped watching at half time. I knew no matter how much better ND got in the 2nd half, they still weren't going to beat Bama.
Would've liked to have seen Oregon vs. Bama......

I didn't figure ND would match up very well. SEC was a bit weak this year overall but bama won it and is #1.

What is never considered is how well a coach can get a team "up" for a game after almost a month layoff. Some coaches are masters at it, and some aren't. There was no fire in ND when they came out of the tunnel onto the field. From their play during the season, ND had the right to be there. That loss is pinned almost entirely on the coach, Brian Kelley, in my opinion.

One never knows, players still have to suit up and play the coach is on the side line. I think there were other teams that might have played better. Who knows?

I disagree 1,000%. The coach cannot go out and play for the kid, let alone 22 of them.
I am a believer that motivation cannot come from an external person or thing. Your motivation can ONLY come from yourself. If you WANT IT, you're motivated to go GET IT. There are MANY time when the coach believes in his guys but the guys aren't motivated themselves and therefore lose. If you're not motivated to get out there and play your hardest, then it's time to hang up the helmet.

Notre Dame was outclassed and Saban given that much time to prepare is unbeatable.Kelly looked like a first timer he couldnt calm his team down.Saban is like beilichek(spelling)he takes you out of your gameplan and makes you win a different way.
