Default NE Florida RARE find - .47+/-Acres IN Osceola National Forest

Asking $18,000 OBO. MAKE AN OFFER, property MUST GO!

.47+/- acres IN Osceola National Forest / Osceola Wildlife Management Area!! This is a RARE offering. The Osceola Wildlife Management Area is 266,270+ acres and is part of the Osceola National Forest.

Property has NOT been maintained in about 4 years so it is extremely overgrown with pines growing up on it. Property is being sold as land only. 237' road frontage on a graded maintained clay/dirt road, 237' back of property butts up to Forest, 100' on one side and 73' on other side.

HOWEVER, there is a fenced yard, one stall (not sure of condition), a 2br/1ba single wide mobile home (1988?), well, septic, and electric pole. There is NO title to the mobile home and it probably has rotted floors, so it should be assumed that it will either need to be moved off the property or require a lot of work. Electricity is NOT on and not sure if pole is up to code anymore or not.

Located in Baker County off 125 near Taylor Florida. Only 45 minutes to an hour from Jacksonville (depending on where you live).

Low annual taxes, currently about $150. Valued at $51k+ on a major real estate website and between $37K+ & $50k+ on HomeSnap.

Property would make a great hunt camp, an excellent weekend get away, a great place to bring your horse/horses for a trail riding, and ATV's are allowed on some roads within the Forest. There is a 23+ mile section of the Florida National Scenic Trails, four interconnected loop trails that traverse over 50 miles and smaller horseback trails everywhere through the scenic Osceola National Forest. Trail riding and fishing opportunities are almost endless.

There is one officially designated wilderness area in the forest, the 13,660 acres Big Gum Swamp Wilderness area. Osceola National Forest contain a surprising variety of fishing opportunities. From your boat or the banks, fishing your national forest can be enjoyable for you and your family. The most popular fishing area on the forest is Ocean Pond 1,760-acre natural lake. Rimmed with cypress trees this sandy bottomed, natural lake offers excellent fishing for largemouth bass, bluegill, warmouth and crappie. The Olustee Beach Recreation Area has a picnic pavilion, bathhouse and a boat ramp. A fishing pier extending along the boat ramp has access for the disabled visitor. Hog Pen Landing, off Forest Service Road 241, has a boat ramp and chemical toilets. This location is very popular with canoes, kayaks and local fishing boats. Located throughout the forest are constructed ponds, or borrow pits. These ponds range from 1 to 10 acres in size and several are managed for fishing. And there are numerous creeks including several deep creeks which are popular for cane-pole fishing.
