I took these photographs of a brown recluse spider up close. We find these everywhere in our house in North Texas. Not a spider you want to get bit by. Its not really fatal, few if anyone dies from a bite, but the bite does rot the flesh away and will leave lots of bad memories.
Got into a few tearing out the deck last week. Sprayed everything to kill them. I had a niece several years ago get bit while on my deck, she got very sick and had a silver dollar sized open wound. Ended up in the ER for treatment.
I've always heard that with the brown recluse, they won't kill you, but when one bites you, you'll wish you were dead.
Had a buddy get bit by one about 10 years ago and I remember his arm having a wound on it that looked nasty as anything I've ever seen. Plus, it hurt him like heck
