Family made me get a cell phone when my dad was failing, made sense! Now with my mom alone and a host of other things I have kept it. It doesn't do anything but ring and let me make a call. That's enough for me.
I figured I might get one for when I hunt alone or travel. Just not turn it on. Then I figured out I could just take one of my wife's. I think she has three and one of them I can almost use. The other two are fancy. She has one personal one and then one that is just for her practice in case they have to reach her in an emergency.
