Default Great Day For...

Cold and raining like Noah expected. It will be light in a couple hours and I am planning my day. What a great day to clean and organize equipment and catch up on my reading and eating. I might even go by the daycare and pickup the GK's and take them to lunch.

I have all my columns done for the year, just sidebars left to write so I can do whatever I want. Fifty years ago, I would have gone hunting anyway regardless of the weather.

It's good to mature.

This sounds bad, but I have 20+ years to retirement and I'm looking forward to the day when I can hunt all season long, everyday all day! lol

I've retired from one job (military) and am about six year away from a second. Still wishing I could be home and hunt all season long. The job has taken me away from opening weekend two seasons in a row, but thankfully I was home this year. Do wish I could get out and hunt all day/every day, but the cold days like today (okay, so it's only 30* outside, but that's cold for central Texas) my body is feeling every ache and pain. (and I'm only in my mid-50's)

I hear you Tator, there's nothing like spending all day out enjoying the peace and solitude with no one around but Mother Nature.

Best of luck to "all y'all" for the rest of the season!

RR

Trustr me guys, when you can, you won't. It gets old real quick. I can remember when I use to pray it was too bad to hunt or take the cameras out so I could get a day's rest.

It does seem the closer I get to retirement the more I need it. I am not ready for the couch yet though. The rain won't stop me, I can sit in the shooting house all morning.

I just told my hunting partners I would not be there in the morning.

Weather is rain mixed with snow and a lot of wind. I must be getting "Mature" before my time. You must be in TN scribe cause you have the same weather as me!

Well the rain & snow doesn't bother me but cold & driving wind does
but right now we are in the high 50's but to busy running the kids everywhere I can't get out if I wanted to
