mid west deer and turkey shows

this weekend marks the end of the 2011 deer and turkey expos for Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio. I managed to get to the Wisconsin show on Saturday. We got there early to beat the crowds (yeah right) that didn't work out. half an hour after we got in it was packed to capacity. there were some good points and the typical bad ones. PSE was there and I tried several of the new 4th generation X force bows. the Wis dnr had their wall of shame set up,( mounts of deer confiscated from poachers). this is the first one I have been able to make due to my past involvement in scouts. below is a link in case anyone is interested in making next years shows.

Last year they had the expo only about 45 minutes from where I live. I've never been to one though.

Did you happen to get to the booth that was passing off sausage links made with beef and pork for venison?
