Default PA trip

Well things were as i thought, thin. I hunted 6 days without seeing a single deer. I finally saw 4 deer on the 7th night. All four of us went home empty, this is the first time ever for that. We saw 2 legal bucks for 8 days of hunting. Things are not good in the old hunting grounds.

Sorry to hear that HM. Glad to have you back on here though! I'm betting the time away with friends/family was nice though.
Our rifle season starts tomorrow and I have a day off Monday so I'm looking forward to 3 days of solid hunting here in North Central MO.
It's been raining here all day and the leaves aren't crunchy anymore, plus the temp is supposed to drop over night into the low 40's. I'm getting anxious!

Default Back to PA, again.

Going back to PA for rifle season; have not seen many deer in the woods over the past four years. Some folks say that the Game Commission has mismanaged the deer herd. It's home though and will enjoy the trip regardless. Hope I see more deer this time and maybe even get a shot.

That stinks. Disappointed when things are that thin. If I go through just one sitting with no deer Im wondering what happened. I do still enjoy the time in the woods though.

I hope it improves and the deer herd gets better.
