scrape lines

I have been hunting a 150 acre piece of property for about two years now and have had a lot of difficulty finding scrapes until this week. I found a great area with many scrapes that look to be active. There only seems to be two trails coming and going from the area with one of them in a swamp and the other right on top of a ridge. How far off do I need to set up to not spook the buck from his habits? I realize wind is a factor and am considering this for stand(s) placement.

this late i'd sit tight to the cover leading to the scrapes. keep in mind they don't always walk to the scrape sometimes they wind check them first. if you are going to sit the scrapes the distance depends on what your weapon is.

I agree. 20 yards for a bow and as far as possible otherwise. I actually like the end of a rub line on the edge of a thicket. Find one of these and your in buisness.
