more important than bait is scent control, staying scent free as possible, use scent free/killer soap, deodorant, laundry dertgent, etc, spray down all your gear, try to not alert the deer on the way to and from your stands and pay attention to the wind, use a small bottle filled with corn starch to test the wind direction several times during the day,you will be amazed at how the wind direction takes your srayed powder all over the place.this is more important than food,if they smell ya they aint coming in
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky
