Blueticks running a blood trail?

i have just went out and bought a male bluetick and i want to know if anyone has ever had any luck training them to run a deers blood trail, or if they just hit another animals scent and follow it. let me know if you have any experience. thanks :)

Well I new a guy that had a cousin do it once. :) The trick is to teach him to stay on the blood trail and not cold trail other scents. I think he used a blood stained rag tied to a rope and would drag it a little ways a reward the pup for finding it. Then move it farther and farther out. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

thanks for the advice, the puppy is only a week old so i still have to wait about 5 or 6 more weeks before his training can start but ill definately let yall know how it goes

Be sure to Check the laws in your State, many states don't allow the use of dogs.
