Tick season

The reports coming in from PA are that ticks are out and heavy. I would have thought it might be a tad early but thats not the case. Beware everyone these little things are nasty and the lime tick especially so. While the large wood ticks are creepy enough the smaller lime tick with the red abdomen can carry lime disease. Duct tap and tick spray for me while working up the food plots will be in order.

Have not been in the woods lately but the weather is prime for there to be a lot of ticks for sure. The reason I say this is last season almost every time out there were two or three on me even until the end of december and I live in the northeast.

PERMATHINE buy it and use it it kills them dead.

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.

Joel I think you mean PERMETHRIN.,,. A topical insecticide, C21H20CL2O3, used to treat head lice, nits, scabies, and various species of ticks.

I've never used it but I have heard of others using it as a topical solution in cream form to kill ticks.
BUT You should look into using Diazinon concentrate to treat your lawns horses can get Lyme disease just like us so you ned to take all steps possible to keep the home area safe from ticks and fleas.

whatever the spelling you buy the spray at cabelas you spray it on your cloths not skin and it kills the ticks when they touch it.i make a whole setup.socks, overalls long sleeve shirt ,gloves and hat.the stuff last about 6 weeks and you can even wash it but i dont.i use this for my turkey gear and i also wear a leafy bug suit.we have TONS of ticks and i dont get bit

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
