| | Tick season
The reports coming in from PA are that ticks are out and heavy. I would have thought it might be a tad early but thats not the case. Beware everyone these little things are nasty and the lime tick especially so. While the large wood ticks are creepy enough the smaller lime tick with the red abdomen can carry lime disease. Duct tap and tick spray for me while working up the food plots will be in order.

Have not been in the woods lately but the weather is prime for there to be a lot of ticks for sure. The reason I say this is last season almost every time out there were two or three on me even until the end of december and I live in the northeast.

| | Joel I think you mean PERMETHRIN.,,. A topical insecticide, C21H20CL2O3, used to treat head lice, nits, scabies, and various species of ticks.

| | I've never used it but I have heard of others using it as a topical solution in cream form to kill ticks.
BUT You should look into using Diazinon concentrate to treat your lawns horses can get Lyme disease just like us so you ned to take all steps possible to keep the home area safe from ticks and fleas.
