Southernman I could not agree more. I see many of the same things and am just as frustrated. I always thought things would work themselves out but I'm beginning to get the feeling that this is what some of the politicians really want. The more people who are dependant on the government the more power they have to tell us how to live our lives.
I think it should be a law that if you don't pay income tax you don't get a vote.

You know Ron I think you are on to something. People need to know that there is consequences, a lot of the people that I know that could not wait to vote for Obama have no clue what has gone on in the two weeks he has been in office.

Now I know why we get along so well. I'm doing the same thing for the same reasons. This BS liberal stuff has got to stop. Enough of this I think we made a mistake. More of the yes you did now shut up and pay for it.

It wasn't coinsidence that the founding fathers were highly concerned with personal freedoms and that the loss of those freedoms would result in tyranny. Many Americans believe FDR was a great president, if you look at history closely, FDR belived only government could solve the nation's woes. The government controlled wages of mass workers, enslaved true Americans to mass concentration camps, rationed vertually every comodity in the marketplace. Right now government is in exactly the position the founding fathers feared, massive federal government controlling the people it was sworn to serve. Term limits would be a good start to removing greed, coruption, and self serving politictions. Unfortunately, I really don't see the silver lining on the horizon, I see a Nation imploding from with-in. I look at the declining morals, increasing crime, gangs, single parents increasing tenfold, excessive government spending/taxes and I think maybe its a good thing I can still remember right from wrong, good from bad, manners, responsibility, integrity, and yes honesty. These were taught in school, at home and at work. I don't see much of this anymore. Sorry to add my venting everyone but I like many here sense a terrible time ahead. sorry about the spelling.

Great Post Ronn !!!

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the outcome of the vote.

I've lived in this town for 35 years and when I look around at what it's become, it really depresses me. I see an illegal immigrant problem out of control, with a police department that doesn't care if they are here legal or not, Meth labs more common than gas stations, crack heads in every other house, not to mention the welfare sucking people that are too lazy to work with jobs available all over here. Almost everyone you see is vastly over weight and won't cook so they rely on feeding their family on McDonalds and then wonder where all the health problems come from. These are the people that elected obama. It really makes you wonder how long it will be before violence enters the picture. Beg pardon all, if this was the venting thread, I wanted my turn.........

Good post SM.. Same thing in my neck of the woods as well..

WMI i liked your heartfelt post. I agree completely

Our roads are one big pothole, our housing market keeps tanking farther and if "THE BIG THREE" doesn't pull through it could be lights out for Michigan. The political GREED has turned this world upside down. Hold onto your faith and guns because my friends we are in for a battle.
