We have the same problem here in the nothern adirondaks mtn's of ny.it is nothing to see 10-15 does in on day.i have seen as many as 27 in a on day hunt.thats sitting all day long!!!if i would have to guess i would say the buck to doe ratio is like 15 to 1.but i have seen as many as 5 different bucks in a day! No shooters.the last couple of years we have taken leagle does to try to thin the doe's out but we are picky we only take the old dried up ones(ones with no fawns)i couldn't see shooting any faen or its mother.it seems to be working?but we have everybody around us allso doing the same thing.yeah we have people shooting any doe that wlks out thats ok but i prefer to shoot the dried up ones.
