100% Wool Socks

I am looking for a source for Mens Size 12 or so 100% Wool Socks that are Gray with a Red top. No wool blends or single solid colors the Red top can be solid or a couple of stripes. Does anyone know of a source where I might pickup a couple of pairs?

Thanks!

This Vermont company used to have them but You'll have to call them to double check. Johnson Woolen Mill Good Luck !!!

Thanks for the welcome and the suggestions.

I have checked all of these with no luck. Cabelas had the closest match but still no cigar.

Thanks for the hint. I was on their web page yesterday but it doesn't give any details.

I actually wear one of their green and black check wool coats while deer hunting. It's a great coat and has kept me warm a number of years now.

If I get a chance I'm going to give them a call tomorrow.

Yep!

I also looked at Orvis and a host of others. I even looked at a few UK, Aussie and NZ sites, since they are noted for their wool products.

I did a pretty through search and at this point I figured that my best hope would be someone that already knew of the exact place to buy from.

I got my first wool hunting set back in 1982, I handed it down to my gf's son (Phillip) 2 seasons ago (2006) and it still looks like new and still warm as the day it was bought...

purchased in 1982 and being worn in this pic in 2008 by Phillip.

Thanks for the hint I give them a call.

My friend, whom these are for, would like that color combo, I guess purely for nostalgic reasons.

I am not that fussy for my own use. In fact I perfer a wool blend, with wool somewhere in the 80% area. They fit and hold their shape much better and are plenty warm enough for me. And the all important reason they fit tight enough and don't have a tendency to slip/slide down into your boots if you walk a lot.
