Very nice. I've got to give you Okies props for that, which as a Texan is hard for me to say. I think I even threw up in my mouth a little bit. Lol

Our Border counties and the People's Republic of Travis County went for Obama here. Big surprises all around.

Gov. Perry is sick of the Feds not doing anything about the border and is making state level steps to get it under control. He just awarded millions and millions of state funds to South Texas Law enforcement and is going to start cracking down on sanctuary cities, beginning with ICE offices in all the jail and prison facilities.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

People in Germany wanted change, and they voted in Hitler. I fear our country may have put a fox in the hen house. Have you heard about the plan to take over the 401K's and turn them into a government funded retirement plan? Steve Forbes was talking about this just before the election. There is/was about 7 trillion dollars in 401K's and the government wants to control/have access to the money.

If you are interested check out the following link. This is a sermon by John MacArthur that was given about two or three years ago. You can read the transcript, listen or do a download of the MP3.

Me being in the defense business and having a Democratic President am worried. The history of these businesses speaks for itself. Every Democratic term means many layoffs in the defense budget cuts. I hope all is well where you are and may my end be left alone to prosper. I just hope he don't come for my guns or folks will be reading about me and lots of others in history classes years from now.

I'm not sure I understand the last post from raisingcain but if you mean that cuts in the defense budget are good and could be better spent elsewhere than you have rubbed a Disabled Vet the wrong way. Please explain.

If you don't understand the technology which you depend on, you will soon be a victim of that technology.

AW, I hope the same thing. Defense is the last place we need to cut. There are a 1000 other places where big $$ could be saved. I would stop the bailouts today if I could.

Not for the bailouts at all here...... I agree defense budget cuts are not a good thing.

We cannot continue to do the same things and expect different results

I agree. My dad, uncle, great uncle, grandfather and cousin all served during war (some in the front lines), and I currently have relation in the Middle East. To not properly train/supply our military is a crime. A nation NEEDS a strong defense.
