Politics

There aren't too many days left until our country will be voting on another president, and I just wanted to encourage everyone to take part in the democracy they hold so dearly. We all love our country and the freedoms it gives us. We all complain when the government does something we don't agree with but have the time the majority of our citizens won't make their voice heard....Go out and vote!

While I know you are never suppose to talk politics with anyone because arguments can happen, I have recently read that the Sportsman Vote is a big turnout and something that candidates fight for. I had two questions for y'all:

1. Who all on here will actually vote?

2. What candidate will you vote for?

I personally think Ron Paul would be the best candidate to vote in to the White House, but I will probably end up voting for McCain and Palin in order to help them beat Obama.

I do not wish to start and argument or to offend anyone, just simply wondering and looking for a mature DISCUSSION of the matter.

Have a good one!

I always vote. I will vote against Obama this go around. I do believe he'll win the election. I really don't think he'll be good for our country. There's more to life than a tax cut and I don't think he has much else to offer. As a rural gun owning hunter and buisness owner, he scares the fire out of me. McCain is ok but I don't think he has any new ideas...... I'm not fond of either one actually. Ron Paul is a little on the extreme side for me. Just my opinion.

i always vote and, for a lack of a better system or dealing with the way things work, always to the right. i like talking to people with differing opinions. I'm always looking for insight or a different point of view to either confirm or disprove my thoughts. my first and second choice didn't make it far enough so i'm going with McCain/ Palin and hope they knock some sense into ALL the boneheads in DC and reform the system to end the crap. i'm not going to hold my breath though.

I tend to run pretty conservative, that should answer your question. Just for conversation purposes I am concerned with the drift twords socialism it's a big mistake.

ronn 10-18-2008 10:25 PM

amen to that one HM, but drift my rear end! they are running head long into it. both sides hand in hand. thats why dc needs a wake up call to remind them that WE are America not the government. cut out the bull and get back to working for us, the ones that are paying the bills. there's to much playing both sides of the fence, being pc, and worrying about what France and the other countries think and almost no doing whats best, what we want, for the US. to much babying the people and trying to wipe everyones noses. the only thing that gov should be doing is making sure everyone has a chance to succeed not giving away incomes and perks to everyone and every company. i still think they should all be fired and tap people on the street ask if they can read and write in English and offer them the job in dc. oh don't get me started.

HM a big mistake? My friend we are in deep crap. I'm loosing faith. Not in America but in the new trend in thought process. It scares the heck out of me. I try to keep an open mind but this one I just don't get. Vote? You're darn right I'm going to vote. No way anyone is going to blame me for what is coming so it appears. Now I'm depressed. Let's talk about BUCKS!! Shot a 130's class 8 point Thursday.

I as well lean toward the conservative side. So that puts my vote with the McCain/Palin ticket. Im like ronn on this stuff. You dont wanna get me started on my "Im scared of Obama". Whats sad is McCain wasnt in my top choices either. Either side can be grim but I think less damage will be with McCain.

Ive always thought if every American went out and voted the republicans will win this year. We cant really trust the polls on most networks today. (dont need to get started on that either)

What I dont like are people that vote for certain party only because thats what they have always done. I wish we would just vote for the better candiadate and throw parties out the window.

I liked ronn's comment. Here is one of mine Ive used over the years.

I wish they would find some farmers that have been running a business for 90 years, made it through the really hard times, and know's how to make business work without all the bull crap. And money does not sway their thoughts.

Banks have been giving money to folks that didnt need it for several years now. What do they expect to happen when people are maxed out on their bills. Their still going to eat out and go on vacation. They will just quit making the house payment. And how many folks could work, but choose not to because they would rather sit at home and draw a check, food stamps and TNcare insurance. Because their to good to get a job at Kroger or a nursery somewhere. I dont agree with illegal immigration but we Americans could learn something from all these Mexicans coming to TN. They work like crazy. Save their money. Take care of their families and do the work that we Americans think we are to good to do because our hands get dirty and it makes our back hurt. The generation Im in and the one being raised today have no clue what real work is. (For the most part, I believe I got a grasp on what work is and so do some other young folks, there are just very few.)

Im done. I could rattle on this all day long.

Well Ronn knows very well how I feel about this guy but this site is "G" rated so I won't go there. They say he is popular with the younger generation and women----------I'm REALLY not going there. So I guess you see how much I dislike the man. McCain was not my first choice either but as far as I can see the only choice. Bottom line is everything so far stated is exactly how I feel. Hey I did good, I'm not usually POLITICALLY correct.:wallbash:

Just wanted to say thanks for keeping it professional. Even though I may not see eye to eye with folks, I do understand that this is America and they have their freedom of choice.
