I don't even know what to think anymore. The country I love seems to be disappearing before my eyes. Where is America? Where is the pride of our forefathers? It seems to be fading fast. Why must we always have to learn the hard way? Does not history tell us enough? It is one thing for a caterpillar to change to a butterfly and another to change like what happens to the food off my plate.

When we started voting for bankers and lawyers to run or hold valuable posistions in this country, thats when we went down hill. As the "ALMIGHTY DOLLAR" became ruler. The majority of the decesions that have been made for this country, were made based on the dollar, not humanity, sick, or quality of life. They are all in a rush to sell you something now, only to turn around 5 yrs later, and tell us it is not healthy for the enviorement, and the cleanup will cost us, etc... Foriegn policy, sent jobs to countries, that have now taken food off of our table. they also have access to some personal information. Try calling Dell or a bank, and you get India???
I think all the snakes in DC should be removed, but if I had to pick the best of 2 evils, I would go for McCain/Palin. He has tasted betrayel, hardship, and survival, and Palin is a country girl, who knows how to live off the land, and how valuable it really is. Alaska can be brutal, and you learn to improvise.
Do you know how many people I have run into that can't read a clock unless it's digital. How did mankind survive the last 7000 years, less the last hundred, all the modern money making technology that has been our demise? As the "almighty dollar" rules... Just look at who runs for office. and why. They are all the wealthy, and the laws keep there pockets full.
Your thoughts??

I've kept my post on this subject pretty conservative, but I guess i should tell my real fears to you all. America, even during our time, is being taken by Washington polititions down the same road that all socialist grovernments have followed throughout history. As already stated, money & power provide the grounds for corruption and greed. As our rights errode and the government assumes more control over the people further do we slide into a state regulated sociaty. Make no mistake, it will happen faster than you think. The Democrates and to a slightly lessor degree Republicans want bigger government, take your guns, and and your liberties, and your money, and then declare mission accomplished. This started under FDR and continues today. H. Clinton and Obamma are prime examples of whats wrong with America nots what good for it. Is Mcain better? Not much, I think he has a love for America, but ends up being a politition in the end. This election will provide the fuel that the Democrates need to propell their agenda faster than at any previous time in America's history. We are in trouble, I don't think there is a fix on the horizon. Sorry for my spelling and I guess now you know how I feel! HM

I agree with you all the way Hunting Man...... I think most people are fed up with the goverment we have and Obama is talking real change...LOL....and people flock to him. They're so hungry for change, they follow behind him without reading between the lines or know the danger he represents. What he purposes is nothing new. It's been around before and will amount to nothing same as before. I agree McCain isn't much better. My vote for McCain is a vote against Obama and the democratic party. How long has it been since we had a president that was a member of Congress? Our last 6 presidents have been goveners..maybe more I'm not sure. Now we're about to elect a president that is right in the middle of the problem to begin with. Last report I heard, Bush has an approval rating of around 28%. Congress has an approval rating of 18%. And we're about to elect a president from a group of people that are less popular than Bush. Doesn't make much sense does it? McCain / Palin 08....thats what I'm shootin for........

We cannot continue to do the same things and expect different results

I hear you and agree completely. It is a runaway train and I don't know if it can be turned back. We are almost to the point where "the have nots" will have the votes to give themselves more and more easy money.

I think you should not get a ballot to vote unless you actually pay Federal income tax!

Yes I'm impressed with the professional responses and respect you all show cuz this seems like a topic that could get out of control but my hat goes off to all you fellas. Now I may be a little ignorant here but the mechanic at work was mentioning something about Obama being sworn in by the Koran if he were to win. Now he was sort of disgusted at the idea but can anybody enlighten me a little. Now keep in mind that I wasn't speaking directly to him kinda just caught a few words but what is Koran anyway?

The Koran is considered by Muslim to be there version of the Bible, it's a seperate book, and most theologians consider it a possible aid to the bible, yet seperate from the scriptures. As like the Jewish (orthodox) don't believe in the new testament, and still live in accordance to the laws of Moses, the Koran is a continuation of the old testament. Put in the simpliest form. As there were alot of writings that never became part of the bible, nor considered to be inspired by God.
