Well, the wind is finnaly over with, we didn't get much rain (about 1.5 inches)...our strongest gust was about 52 mph. . .could have been A LOT worse. The most "damage" we had was a few trees over the fences and the roads - otherwise there were just twigs and small limbs about the size of your arm - we where just lucky it didn't go any farther to the west, but they said Galveston could be without power for 2 weeks

from the pics I saw online of Houston Texas, it looks like the Houston area got hit really hard by ike. I'm glad to hear you folks are all ok.
