Good new neighbor

A son from the family of the house i just bought pulled in on his 4 wheeler this evening. He took me down to his place and showed his propery lines to me etc. Said I could hunt it if I wanted too, take the kids riding or whatever. Showed me some places deer are every evening. We start coming back from the trip close to dark crossing some fields and like clockwork the deer starting coming right in the area he said they would. Seen quite a few does and a 6 and 4 grazing around. We just stopped on the 4 wheelers and the deer seemed to could have cared less we were around.

I offered to help him with his cows, hay or whatever he needs. He said dont worry about it. He'll just call me if he needs me. It aint everyday to run into folks like that. Im happy. Got a easy place to set-up with a bow to take that 1st doe for the freezer. Season is getting close in TN.

thats great for both of you

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky

If you're going to have neighbors, those are the best kind to have....

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the outcome of the vote.
