Default The Run to Remember...

Over the weekend Esther and I were in Boston supporting (daughter) Michelle on her first Half-Marathon, 13.1 miles (12000 runners)
It was a huge achievement for Michelle after having open heart surgery only one year ago.
Michele not only finished but she finished much faster than she expected. 13.1 miles in 2:22:16 finishing 5872 out of 12,000.
I guess it's easy to tell how proud we are of her.
Boston's Run To Remember is a tribute/celebration run to remember all fallen heroes, Michelle is already planning her next big run in October.

Thank You Fella's... Since Michelle ran in her half marathon her boyfriend (John Magner) has decided to run also and is trying to raise money to help support our Veterans.
John is going to do the "The 2014 RUN TO HOME BASE",,,,
presented by New Balance is a unique and special event that celebrates our military heroes and raises necessary funds for the Red Sox Foundation and
Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program.
The Home Base Program is committed to serving the needs of veterans with combat stress and/or traumatic brain injury and their families,
but we need your support for the 2014 Run to Home Base

The Home Base Program is committed to serving the needs of veterans with combat stress and/or traumatic brain injury and their families,
but we need your support.

Your support to the Home Base Program will help to ensure that local veterans who served our country receive the clinical treatment they need
for combat stress and/or traumatic brain injury, and that their families get the guidance and support they need.
The Home Base Program also seeks to advance innovative treatments that hold the most potential for helping veterans with combat stress and/or
traumatic brain injury and their families."

If Anyone would like to Donate to this cause and help John reach his goal, here is the link to do so. Thank You for you support..

The 2014 Run To Home Base, Runner/John Magner.

Michelle and John, as Michelle finished her run......
