Well the thought of not having Topo maps got the best of me.

So, I just ordered the Garmin Topo U.S. 2008, I added a 2 Gig MicroSD card to the package as well...

I figure I may as well order it and learn it all right from the start instead of training myslef one piece at a time.....

Does GPS allow you to mark out deer trails then see the connections of each trail over a large area. Like a roadmap but with gametrails, I'm puzzled.

Yes. You can mark as a route in your GPS the deer trails that you walk. Then, when you get home, you can download these routes into your map software and save it. You can add more trails to this map as you find them.

its very useful for scouting i walk around following rub lines without fear of getting lost you can put in track sightings rubs scrapes etc then like one horse said you can make your own map

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.
Genesis 27:3 "The thinking deer hunter should mature through three phases during his hunting life. First phase, "I need to kill a deer." Second phase, I want to harvest a nice deer. And last phase, we must manage this resource so our children and their children can experience the grand tradition of good deer hunting." - Jim Slinsky

Timberghost, I don't know which would be considered the best but
The one I got (according to Garmin) is their best seller. the "GPSMAP60CSx"
IT is LOADED wih features. And I can already say I love this thing.
I installed the new Topo maps and NOW when I view my tracks on the
computer I can see the 4 wheeler trails I use in the woods which up till now
were just not visible on google earth BUT now not only do I get to see them
but I can see them on Google earth now too.

As soon as warmer weather comes around I'll be making myself some maps
of all our ATV trails we use for hunting, and from there I'll start working on
mapping the Deer trails... I can hardly wait...

SO I would say get the same thing I got and You'll be glad you did.
