replaced all the deck boards and hand rails before my arm got messed up and never sealed it. Having a alum. roof but up this weekend and get it sealed next weekend. Im sure the roof will give it more life. The deck boards lasted 19yrs so hope to get twice that with a roof over it and sealing it every few years.also having gutters put up.next thing will be new soffit. Had a new metal roof put on a few months back. So far Ill be $4200 in to a new metal roof, alum. roof over front and back decks and gutters with leaf screens and a new front door with mini blinds between the glass. And best part of it all is house will be payed for in 10 months

My wife and I are going to do our this week sometime... hopefully. If I remember I'll try to take a before and after pic. This will be my first time ever staining it. I've always just sealed it. This liquid I got is sealer and stain all in one... we shall see!

Started this morning at 8am and now finished. I will have to put a second coat on the deck flat boards but that can wait a few days. Might get rain later today but I put a blower on the deck to help dry it. I think things will be ok.I'll post a picture of the project. I still have a set of anarondack (spell?) furniture to paint but also need to figure a color first.
