Default Remington 22 ammo

My camera is not very good but can anyone date these 22's from Remington. They are green box, red Kleanbore, tan Remington logo. has R23 on the box. Hi Speed, long rifle, hollow points. I'm thinking 50's or early 60's but have no clue. If you know???? Thanks

wow, I have about 10 boxes in near perfect condition. Thanks GFD2. Found a single box of R23 on gun broker and states they were made in 1939 and asking 30-55 for the box. I think I had take better care of these little gems. Looks like there is some collectability for these. I got these at an auction years ago and everyone thought I was crazy paying 2.00/box. I should have bought all of them. as there were more. I did have thoughts of just shooting them, not now yikes! Better than the silver I just sold.

Yeah I couldn't believe it when I saw it
the R21's showed 1938 would have guessed the 50's by the look of the box

Martha's ammo is another good resource for info on Vintage ammo.
