20 minutes to Bass Pro and 40 minutes to Cabela's, Have a Gander Mountain in town too. My cousin was the purchaser for the Dundee Cabelas, retired from General Motors and the from Cabelas after 10 years. I actually like Bass Pro over Cabelas.

TG is that the one in Auburn?
this is the one we stop at every year on our way to hunting camp
only time I get to go to bass pro untill the end of this year
when we get ours
HM I have been a fan for bass pro but swapped card to Cabelas because the Cabela's in Maine was easier to get to then the Bass pro
in Mass. (have to go through Boston) and Cabela points don't expire like Bass pro but now that won't matter as I will probably be there once a week

I don't have any of the "awesome" stores near me, the nearest Bass Pro will by the one gfd is speaking about, Nearest Cabela's is 245 miles away in Connecticut.
We do have a Gander Mountain in Plattsburgh NY which is about a 1-1/2 hr. ride not sure how many miles it is, I do have a Dick's "over-priced" sporting goods store only 2 miles away
but I refuse to spend my money in there I'd rather buy from Wal-Mart which is also only 2 miles away, if Wally world doesn't have it, I just shop the internet.

I think they're close to the same mileage but I never drive through Maine, once in awhile I pass thru Ct. so my chances of stopping there would be much greater.

I've watched the Cabela's store reduce inventory ie, smaller bow shop, smaller bargain cave, fewer offerings, that is why Bass Pro is my current go to shop.

I have been to the Hamburg PA , Hartford Conn, and Maine Cabelas. Hamburg is the biggest and best of those. I am an hour from the Auburn Bass Pro but have never been there. My local Ganger Mountain was flooded on 2011 and never reopened - Water was up above the entry doors.
Enjoy shopping GF! Thanks to the Prez and policies that are pushing up gas prices which cause everything to cost more my hunting budget is next to nill so no shopping for me.
