Default caustic

We just had this discussion a few weeks ago regarding hellbilly's encounter with caustic. This morning one of my operators got a drop of 20% caustic in his eye. His goggles were loose and he dropped an open container of about a gal of the stuff splashing up on him. After water washing for 20 minutes and using a buffered wash solution it appears there is no damage. It's a good safety subject to discuss chemicals and their dangers. In this case his loose fitting goggles allow a droplet to enter from the side. PPE, wear it the way it is designed and it will protect you. Monday will be form filling out day .
