Weather Mid January and it's raining and has been in the upper fifties last two days. Snow is long gone. It is going to get colder starting late tonight but I'll take the warmer temps anytime. I do not see any ice fishing happening on Lake Erie this year. |
Definitely strange and crazy weather. When I was young I used to dig tunnels in the backyard through all of the snow drifts and my dad would be able to go in them too. Now snow is very scarce and with all the global warming stuff it makes me worry a little. |
Im with you Hm ill take it.Went to camp just to check up on things and no snow.I love it. |
been warm here since Thurs but snow is still here |
Here in North Central MO we've had a good winter. 5 snows now (nothing huge). Just got snow on Saturday night- about 2 inches. Been COLD here. I can handle the cold for a few days as long as we get a break from it here and there. Supposed to be 46 on Saturday here. I hate to say it, but we need this snow. Snow is the best thing to turn a drought year around. Our ground needs that slow release of water melting from snow. |
Raining here too but on top of all of our snow, so it's making a slush-mess everywhere. Driveway is glazed over slicker than an NHL rink from packed snow turned to ice. Just at that point 33~34 that it won't melt the snow but will rain. |
Here in North Alabama, just a day and a half ago, the temperature was 70. Now it has dropped down to a typical mid winter temperature in the 30's. So far this winter, the coldest temp we have seen is around 29. It is not unusual to go through a whole winter without getting below 20. Snow? It has been several years since we have had more than snow flurries. Those rare times we do get a decent snow here, it shuts every thing down. |
That past few days here in MO it's been getting down in single digits at night. I tell you what, early in the morning when I go out to start the car, that cold BITES at ya. |
