2nd buck over 200 lbs I shot my second N.H.buck over 200 lbs dressed out in four years. shot both with in 150 yards from each other with my T/C Encore 50 cal.and I have trail cam pics of him from last year.I beleive its the offspring of the first 234 lb eight point, This one was a close 20 yard shot. My thirteen year old son got his first deer last Saturday,a four point 130 lb buck. Freezers getting full. Now I'll pick up my bow and continue the hunt ! http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/a...1103121736.jpghttp://i958.photobucket.com/albums/a...4/DSCN0905.jpg |
Very nice! Congrats to you and your son! That's the only reason I wish my son would get older faster is so that I can take him hunting. Other than that, I love him at age 4. |
That's a heavy duty buck!!!! Great pics and congrats to your son. |
Thanks guys, having my son get his first buck last week was the highlight of my hunting journey.I could shoot twenty 200 lb bucks and it wouldn't take the place of his first deer.I had told my wife the night before I harvested mine that I was going to take a doe this year so my son could have the bragging rights but what do you do when a second 200 lb buck stops at twenty yards in front of you? |
Looks like you guys are having a great season! |
Congratulations to both Hunters, Both deer are awesome harvests !!! |
Congrats to both of you on awesome bucks. It will be hard to beat this deer season in the future the way it is looking like its gonna turn out. |
Congrats Huntr & Huntr Jr. we do have some nice Bucks here in NH the one I am after seems to be Nocturnal all year long now that our trip is over & freezer is full he is the only deer on my list still have bow tags here so may shoot a doe for the hunt for the hungry program |
I was coming through NH on Sunday traveling back home from Boston and just 40 yards off of Interstate 89 in a small clearing in Warner NH I see this huge buck with a very impressive rack, easily a 6 possibly an 8 pointer of course I'm clipping along about 70 mph in an average flow of traffic so I cant do anything but glance to see that it is a decent buck. I get a little further north in Sutton NH and see two Doe leaving the roadside heading back into the woods. It was a good ride, always nice seeing Deer along the way... |
Bruce you couldn't push them about 15 miles north? they would then be in my backyard |
