That's right you got to start somewhere, that is the bottom line but you'll be fine under 20 yards, you'll get flack by some for the low weight but hey not everyone can pull 60 lbs + bows. I got my son set up on 40 lbs as well, here in ky there is no minimum on bow weight or draw.

Rage makes their 2-blades called 40KE. They are made for low poundage bows. Check them out if your hunting deer.
