Ground Blind Question

Is a ground blind able to be left up in wind at or over 25mph without risk of damage?

Funny, today I passed my hunting buddy's home and he was outside setting up a new ground blind. Seems these things are getting more popular all the time. With today's cold rain maybe he has the right idea??? Someone here will give you a wind factor, for sure.

I have a predator blind (Dick's Sporting goods) and it's not the high dollar kind but it does the job. I've had it out for 2 weeks and actually hunted in it last friday night with winds around 20 mph with gusts up to 30mph. As long as you have it staked down properly you should be fine. Plus "brushing" it in will help keep some weight down on it and help it not blow away.

I'll have to remember that for next time tator. The weatherman made the wrong prediction, the strongest wind was only around 2mph, which makes me angry as I don't want to disturb the area when big bucks are around during the daylight

ive been in mine in around 35mph winds and it was staked down and i usualy laylimbs with leave still on them on the blind as well kind of around the sides, i've always been scared to put stuff on top because i dont want to be inside and have it deside to pop back in into my face lol. anyways my blind is an amera step G-30 bought from wal mart few years ago for 120 but can get at bass pro or any were else that sells amera step stuff, did good shook like hell even though was gonna come loose a few times but never did.

I also have the G-30 blind never had a problem with wind like Tator mentioned as long as it is staked down
here in NH I did have an issue with snow actually lost my blind we got an early snowstorm one year 8-10" & it flattened the blind luckely it warmed up enough the next day or so & the point of the roof was sticking out
I thought it would be junk but as I started digging it out it popped right back up & is still fine today
