Opening weekend of Tn bow season

We've just had the opening weekend of Tennessee's bow season. Looks like 2800 deer were harvested statewide with about 40% being rack bucks. There were also 69 turkeys taken as well. Turkeys are open (hens & toms) during Tn deer bow season and tagged with the same tags.

My county was 3rd in the state for deer harvested and first in turkeys. I will likely wait til M/L season in Tn, but will be hunting Ky this weekend with the crossbow.

I'm north of Nashville in Montgomery County. The stats were published in our local paper today by the outdoors writer.
