Cheap crossbow for my wife

Hey guys, I am in the market for a cheap but decent crossbow for my wife. I use a matthews compound for myself but don't know anything at all about crossbows. If any of you have had any experience with middle of the road crossbows that would be awesome. Thanks for the help.

I know about as much as you when it comes to crossbows..but wouldn't like a 45lb compound bow work for her?

pse makes a couple that are suppose to be decent. i hear good things about barrent? but they are pricey. mind you i have no first hand knowledge. i'll check the bow shop here. he sells pse bows but the crossbows are something else, barrnet i believe.

dont no much about them but just about every hunting mag has them packages on crossbows like cabelas,sportsmans guide,etc.

Middle of the road? Maybe Parker, Barnett, just take a look on line at Bass Pro, Cabela's, Sportsman Warehouse ect.

Remember cheap might mean dangerous down the road! I'd go middle of the road which is still in the 4-5 hundred for a decent package. Look on e-bay also.

I would strongly recomend a Parker. I have used the same one for 4 years now and it has been very reliable and very accurate. I thing it is a real good crossbow for the money.
