Monday I put my bow stand up.It is a textbook location at a bottleneck with 2 intersecting trails. I just need to get used to seeing the owners house in the background.

I never could get used to this. Where I was at the owners of the house had kids in school. So every morning you can hear them, see them at times loading up to go to school. Then during the evening you have them coming home and playing in the yard. It always seem so loud when they talked outside. I guess the deer became accustomed to it. I never saw very mature deer in this setup but always had plenty of does to take.

I know that there are mature bucks around he doesnt have small kids and there is a wildlife refuge nearby. And I have seen some of the bucks that come out of that area.

now that sounds like a promising setup. might be a one chance early deal or rut hunt though. pick your days carefully.
